The Highlights Not to Miss at Open Source Experience!
DINUM BlueHats | Wednesday, December 4th, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM | Ada Lovelace Room (upstairs in the mezzanine)
The #BlueHats are open source enthusiasts within the public administration. The movement was launched at the Open Source Experience event in 2021, and #BlueHats conferences have been hosted annually since.
This year again, the open source software mission is organizing the #BlueHats conference, a special opportunity for public officials to share experiences on developing and using open source software in their administrations.
This afternoon of presentations will take place on December 4th, 2024, in the Ada Lovelace Room on the mezzanine level of the Palais des Congrès from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. It will be freely accessible to all visitors, public officials or not.
All morning on December 4th, the Ada Lovelace Room will be reserved for demonstrations of La Suite developed by DINUM. The perfect time to ask your questions!

DINUM (Interministerial Directorate for Digital Affairs) will be present on both days of the event at stand A12, alongside their partners at a large PUBLIC SECTOR VILLAGE!

CNLL Free Software Awards | Wednesday, December 4th, 1:10 PM | Laurent Séguin Room
The “Free Software Actors” competition aims to recognize companies, entrepreneurs, as well as innovative projects and associations that contribute through their actions to the development of Open Source. At the Open Source Experience, the following will be awarded:
- Commercial Development Award: Rewards economic success based on open source software, in France and/or internationally.
- Company Award for Open and Ethical Digital Practices: Given to companies that integrate values such as openness, transparency, and respect into their business model or culture, and have formalized an ethical and eco-responsible approach.
- Best Open Source Strategy Award: Recognizes a company that has implemented and demonstrated a genuine open source strategy in its development. This category is open only to mid-sized enterprises and large corporations.
- Best Public-Private Collaboration Award: Rewards administrations that promote the use of open source software and collaborate with the professional open source ecosystem.
- European APELL Award: Honors a European company or organization (outside of France) that has successfully developed a business activity based on open source.
- Special Jury Award: Highlights projects that do not fit into the other categories, particularly community-driven projects.
Organized by CNLL, this competition will highlight the entrepreneurial successes in the sector, showcasing the exceptional journeys of both women and men.
Territoire Numérique Libre 2023 Award Ceremony | Wednesday, December 4th, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Laurent Séguin Room
The “Territoire Numérique Libre” label, supported by the Adullact association, was created to highlight the open initiatives of local governments, to promote them among elected officials, other local governments, and citizens. It is a strong marker for all local governments engaged in a “Free” approach. Applying for the Territoire Numérique Libre label is free and requires no prior membership.
The announcement of the results and the awarding of the Territoire Numérique Libre 2024 labels will take place on Wednesday, December 4th, at 5:00 PM during the Open Source Experience event.
