Lightnings Talks

New for 2026!
Lightnings Talks

One bold idea. Five minutes. One audience.

A new highlight of Open Source Experience 2026, the Lightning Talks shake up the traditional conference format.

No long lectures, no endless slide decks. The principle is simple: one idea, one powerful message, five minutes to share it.

On Thursday, December 10, in the afternoon, 16 speakers will take to the stage one after another in the Ken Thompson room, offering the audience a concentrated dose of ideas, real-world experiences, demonstrations, and open source inspiration.

What ideas will take the Lightning Talks stage?

The talks will cover the six main themes of Open Source Experience 2026:

  1. Digital sovereignty, governance and open source business models
  2. Open infrastructures, cloud and sovereign platforms
  3. Open AI, models, data and sovereign ecosystems
  4. Cybersecurity, trust and open source resilience
  5. Sovereign enterprise application platforms
  6. Open source culture, skills and careers

Would you like to take the stage?

Applications are open until midnight on October 8, 2026.

One proposal per person.

Selected talks will be announced around October 15.
