SYSTEMATIC

Systematic, the European leader in Deep Tech, is a cluster that brings together and runs an ecosystem in Ile-de-France of 900 innovative industry players including 600 start-ups/SMEs, 150 large groups and 150 academics. Systematic is a catalyst for innovations that promote synergy and development in six main areas: Data Science & AI, Cyber & Security, Digital Infrastructure & IoT, Digital Engineering, Optics & Photonics and Open Source.

The technological breakthroughs that these Deep Tech companies create help to solve the challenges of the digital transformation for regional authorities, industry and services, and society (health and AgTech). Systematic supports its members with all of their levers for development (innovation, R&D, business, network, funding, etc.). Systematic is supported by the French state and the regional government of Île-de-France.

Jean-Luc Beylat, Chairman of Systematic, and Philippe Montargès, Chairman of Hub Open Source Systematic and Chairman & Co-founder of Alter Way, look back at the creation and launch of this new unifying and ambitious event for open source technologies in France and Europe.

“As part of an open approach to innovation, Systematic brings together and leads a diverse ecosystem of excellence where different communities can interact and have discussions. Today, this ecosystem is structured around six ‘technological’ hubs (Data Science & AI, Cyber & Security, Digital Infrastructure & IoT, Digital Engineering, Optics & Photonics and, of course, Open Source) and three ‘economic and societal’ stakes groups (regional transformation, transformation of industry and services, and social transformation). Each hub and stake group lays out an annual roadmap and organises a headline event. For the Open Source Hub, this event was first the Open World Forum, then the POSS (Paris Open Source Summit) which, this year, is giving way to Open Source Experience on 9 and 10 November.”
