How large organizations collaborate with the Open Source Ecosystem
During this roundtable, we will explore the many dimensions of collaboration between large organizations and the Open Source ecosystem. By ecosystem, we mean developer communities, open-source service companies, foundations, and major user associations such as CIGREF.
Collaboration takes many forms: sharing experiences on the use of open-source solutions, working with open-source service providers for specific projects, funding or co-funding technological developments, and providing active support to foundations such as OW2. Each actor contributes, in their own way, to the vitality and sustainability of this ecosystem.
We will discuss the mutual benefits of these collaborations in terms of innovation, technological control, and cost reduction. These testimonials will illustrate how such partnerships can transform the digital practices and strategies of large organizations.
