Lucian BALEA EN

Lucian Balea is Deputy Director of R&D and Open Source Director at RTE, the French power transmission system operator. He plays a leading role in guiding the company’s R&D activities as well as the open source strategy. He has been with RTE since 2003, holding several management positions in R&D, markets and finance. He has over 20 years of experience in innovation management, strategic partnership development, and digital transformation in the energy sector. Lucian has also been actively involved in promoting the open source collaboration model across the energy industry, notably as Chair of the Board of the LF Energy Foundation since 2019.
