Romain Georges
Romain has been working for Orange France and other Group entities for over 20 years.
He is currently responsible for the governance of software infrastructure products, and for the industrialisation of the community open source OS base (Ubuntu) for France and part of the Group.
As referent, Romain is a dynamic player in open source governance in France, in collaboration with other Group players.
Romain began his open source journey as an active member and ambassador of the French FreeBSD community.
With a background as a systems engineer, he has carried out numerous roles and missions for Orange, as a technical architect, project manager, lead tech and expert, on a variety of subjects ranging from domain names (DNS, REGISTRAR) to hosting/housing and private and public clouds.
Romain remains a willing open source contributor to Ruby and its ecosystem.
