I started development and geeking so long ago that I’m not sure of the date (it’s been at least 40 years), but I remember a machine: a TI57 (for the youngest of you, it was a programmable calculator from Texas Instrument). From the beginning it was a passion, and my luck was that I was able to make it my job (for someone who didn’t want to work, being able to turn his hobby into a job was unexpected). Since then, I have worked in various professions, always related to “tech” and I continue to learn every day by contributing to open source projects (in various ways: code, presentations, hands-on-lab, training…).
